They moved to Blue Belts

So today was memory preservation day at church and Michelle and I went. Not allot to report on other than i finished a couple of cards that needed to be done and helped Holly finish a layout she was working on. As for my day it was not so interesting but Dale and DJ had a great day today.

As you know they are both in this great Martial Arts class called Hapkido and last night they finally got to test for their next belt. DJ did great, knowing everything he has been taught without any help. I am so proud of him he really is a very smart and wonderful child. He passed.
Dale did great also but that's not surprising considering the fact that he has been in some form of martial arts since he was about seven years old. He tends to pick things up fast and keep them with him always. He also has a knack of being able to take what he already know and adapt it to what he is learning to learn faster. Wish i could do things like that. Anyway he passed also. So now I am looking at two people with their blue belts in Hapkido. I am so proud of both of them. They just seem to be moving along so quickly. ( pic's to come soon)

As for Miss Elyssa she is doing great in her dance. She is picking everything up quickly and practices all the time at home. Which i love by the way. Anyway that was our wonderful day.

Finally a Decision

So today was a pretty normal day. Not a whole lot went on. I have dicovered that I am finally tired of being fat so I reserched a proceedure that will help me loose the weight slowly while teaching me how to exercise and eat right at the same time. Its called the Lapband and it works in a window of three years so you loose the weight and keep it off. I cant wait to finally get it so that I quit having all these stupid unnessisary issues that go along with being over weight. Plus I think I need to see a chiropractor because all my joints are out of wack and im walking like a 90 year old woman. It sucks getting older.

Other than that not much happen today. DJ and I went to church because I thought he had scouts and I had Activity days and Girls camp stuff to do. Then we came home. So Im headded to bed and will post tomarrow.

Back to Normal....I guess

OK so I finally got home late Sunday night and spent all of Monday sleeping and recouping from the week before. If you don't already know I and my children spent all of last week living at Michelle's house watching her kids for her while she and her husband and oldest son went down to La. to fix the roof on their rental house.
Don't get me wrong I love Michelle and her family but lord it felt great to be able to sleep in my own bed and in my own house. Before last week i would always complain to Dale that I needed a new bed and I needed this or that but after living Michelle's life for a week I'm glad to have the things that I have and only two kids. Although I do think of Michelle's kids as if they were my own, I now understand why I chose to only have two and not more.
Oh ya I almost forgot...when I woke up this morning my feet were back to normal. No swelling or hurting. I have been having a lot of problems with my feet and legs this past week but I guess I was right the first time, maybe i just wasn't use to walking around bare foot on hardwood floors all the time. Oh well, I'm just glad things are getting back to normal. Well until next time.

swollen feet

OK so this is really weird. I woke up a couple of days ago with swollen feet. I didn't think much about it just chalking it up to the fact that I'm not use to running around bare foot on hardwood floors all the time, until Michelle called me to ask if i would log onto a friends blog to find out if she knew why her feet were swollen. That got me to thinking and i asked why. Michelle told me that she woke up yesterday with her feet swollen also. Now how weird is that. What ever is going on i hope it ends soon because i hate having me feet swollen and hurting.

A Much Better Day with the help of preyer

OK so i admit that sometimes a little praying goes along way. When I went to bed on Tuesday night i preyed that Wednesday would go much better than the day before and what do you know it did. I woke up with no pain in my leg except when i walk up and down the stairs which i try not to do as much as possible. Plus I think i am finally getting the hang of this life style that my good friend Michelle lives everyday. I don't think i would want to live it everyday like she does otherwise i know i would go crazy. Don't get me wrong i love her and all her crazy kids but i don't think my mental state could or would handle it. I give her props for being as sane as she is, I know i wouldn't be.

Anyway, the day went great until i got a call from the school saying that our dear Zach decided he wanted to go to tutoring on Wednesday when he doesn't have tutoring. Silly boy. So I loaded up all the younger kids in the Yukon and went to go get him only to have the Yukon not start. Turns out that when i took the twins to their non game on Monday Brently left the light on in the back of the Yukon and killed the battery. So i unloaded everyone and reloaded them into the van. Let me tell you that was a tight squeeze but we got everyone in and went and got Zach. When i got home I got Ashley to help me use the van to jump start the Yukon. After several tried we finally got it working again. After that the day went fine. Everyone did their part to keep the house clean and the kids all played outside until it was dinner time. We ate dinner and everyone took baths and showers and went to bed without any trouble. I love when days go well. Let hope and prey today goes as well.

Oh the joys of kids

Well today was a little better than yesterday. My leg is felling a little better but not 100% yet. I tried not to walk on it as much today. Wesley and Brently and myself pretty much just vegged today. The day went fairly well until all the kids got home from school. I guess it was a bad day for everyone because everyone came home with bad attitudes.  First it was the younger kids, they weren't so bad at first but then Kelsey came home and things just seemed to get worse and worse. I finally lost it and had to let out the steam so to speak. I later apologised to everyone for loosing my temper and yelling and they all seemed to understand and forgive. We ate dinner and went to bed with no more incidents. Lets hope tomorrow is better.

You know i never realized just how much i really depend on Dale until he is gone. He has been at training for two days now and I really miss him. The kids seem to know that i really depend on him to because they are always better when he is here. But now that he is gone I seem to have to try a lot harder to get these kids under control. I cant wait until Thursday when he gets to come back.

What a Day

wow well today has been interesting to say the least. I woke up with the worst pain in my leg and couldn't get it to go away no matter what i did. So i packed up Wesley and Brentley and went to the doctor. Turns out i had a part of the muscle on the back of my leg bellow my bottom that was really over worked and inflamed so the doctor gave me a shot and some cream and told me to rest as much as possible. Ya that's gonna happen when you have a two year old and a five year old running around your house. Anyway i did as best i could and we shall see how it plays out.

Later i had to go and take the twins( Aubrey and Zachary) to their game at the soccer field in Ashland city only to find out once we got their that they didn't have a game. So i dragged all the kids out for nothing with a hurting leg when i could have just stayed home and rested.

To top the day off when we did get home I was so tired and hurting that DJ and Kelsey thought it would be a great idea to help me out so i supervised while they  made dinner. Sometime it really pays to have older kids in the house.

Now Im headed to bed. Lets hope tomorrow turns out to be a better day than today.

Good day

Today was a good day. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. I went to Michelle's and helped her finish her scrapbook she is making then headed to the church to meet Ryan so that we could go through the camp closet and sort out the thing we need and the things we have. Then headed home to get my kids ready to come back over to Michelle's house to babysit her kids while her and Robert went out on a date for Roberts birthday. I hope they have a great time tonight. Like i said a good day.

Dominic and Hapkido

Dominic has started taking this great Martial Arts class called Hapkido. Last night one of their things they had to do was roll the stand in front of a chair with both feet on the ground then jump into the chair and then over the back. Well he got the roll part right but when it came time to the jumping part he sort of missed. Its pretty funny. Video to come shortly.

Elyssa's Dance Class

Elyssa has started dance class and is loving it. She has picked up the moves so fast and she is coming into it so late in the game. I just love how much she likes it. Here she is getting ready for a dance they are going to do at the spring recital.

Great friends but Silly friends

Well this was a silly day. It started out normal but then Michelle got her build a bear in the mail. This is where the great friend part comes in. Michelle and Teresa made Build-A-Bears together when the Alfords where uphere last summer. Then Huricane Gustave came through the gulf and in the procress of getting her family to a safer place Teresa lost her Michelle bear. Well like a great friend that Michelle is she ordered another bear from the Build-A-Bear website and when it came in the mail today we went to the mall to have it stuffed and dressed. This is where the funny friend part comes in. Michelle had me photograph the whole process so that she could scrapbook it. Starting from the bear arriving at her house to the drive to the mall, then the walk into the mall, the walk into the Build-A-Bear store, then the whole process of stuffing it, cleaning it, dressing it, and making the birthcertificute for it. That just goes to show that my friends might be funny and weird but at least they are great friends who would do anything for me. Thats why I love them.

After we got done with that whole process Michelle and I went out to eat at the T.G.I Fridays in the mall and headed home so that we could take the kids to soccer practice. Then it was off to chuch for our wednesday night activities only to arrive to a chuch with no lights. The power was out so we taught our classes in the dark, that was fun let me tell you. Then we headed home which is were I am now and getting ready for bed.

Me trying on Teresa's "Michelle Bears" glasses
"I'm a Butterfly!!!!!" FYI: This is what happens when I go to the mall with Michelle

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

Well today was a good day, for the most part anyway. It started out not so good. I woke up this morning fully intended on going to Church with my husband and children dressed in our beautiful Easter outfits that I went though so much trouble to find and make sure they somehow matched, only to have my husband be kept at work for an extra shift because the person who was suppose to relieve him didn't want to show up. But the day did get better because we went over to a very good friend of the family's house , who are really more like family than friends because we spend so much time with them, and had a wonderful dinner and a great talk about all sorts of things. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if my husband and best friend Michelle and her family had come over to. Anyway we are home now and ready for bed. I hope the rest of my week goes a little better than today started out to be. Happy Easter Everyone.

Easter House

While i was out the other day i found this really cute kit to build a sugar cookie house kinda like the ones you get at christmas. So i bought it and put the house part together and Dale helped the kids decorate it. It turned out so cute. I love when they get creative and do things outside the box. They are so cute and did such a good job on the house that i think i will do this evey year. It looks so good. I cant wait until we can eat it. i know the kids are ready.

Oh the joys

Oh the joys of having children. Let me start by saying that my children are usually very good but yesterday must have been an off day for them. While i was away at a friends house Elyssa decided that she was going to get into her friend Shelby's wheelchair and play around in the front yard. Well for those of you that dont know i live on a hill so my front yard goes down to the street. Anyway as she was playing she lost control of the chair and rolled down the hill and landed in the ditch with her face. Resulting in this beautiful face. All this right before we are suppose to take our easter pictures. Oh well such is life i guess. Like i said the joys of having children.

Busy days never seem long enough

Well today has been a very busy day. It started with myself and Dale going to walmart to get the things we needed to make the kids easter baskets this year and pick up the outfits we needed for our family easter/spring picture. Although I was able to get dale and the kids stuff at walmart I was not able to get mine, so i headed home to drop off dale and then headed out again to go to Cato's so that i could pick up my dress. Then went back to walmart to get my nails done. After all that I went to my good friend Ryan's to pick up the grey paint we needed to paint the castle we cut out of wood for girls camp. Just when I thought my day was about to start on the downward slope I got a call from another friend asking if i would stop by and pick up some donations for our fund raiser, so i did then i finally made it to michelles house to help her paint the castle and get it loaded up to take to the church so the girls could continue to decorate it. As we were on our way home from Casey's soccer practice Michelle's husband Robert called and said he needed us to stop by their new property and give him a jump because his truck would not start. Then it wouldn't go any faster than 10 miles and hour so we had to turn around again and pick him up, which made us late getting to church tonight. Anyway the girls got to do a little painting but not much. Finally we made it home and now i am tired and heading to bed. Man you just have to love those kind of days when everything seems to need to be done at once but you just dont have enough time. It makes the day go by so much faster. Anyway like i said im headed to bed so i will stop now.

All about us

Ok Ok so i finally gave in and now im a blogger. Almost everyone i know including my best friend Michelle is blogging and have been bugging me like crazy to start blogging. So here i am blogging away.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my beautiful family. Well to start I am Quondaila Bellard and I am married to a Wonderful man Dale Bellard for 9 wonderful years. I couldnt ask for a better husband. I really lucked out when he chose me. Together we have two beautiful children. Dominic or Dj as he likes to be called is 10 going on 11 at the end of July. He is in the fourth grade and doing very well in school. He and his daddy are taking a Martial Arts course at the local gym called Hapkido and they both really love it. We also have Elyssa who is 8 going on 9 at the end of November. She is in the second grade and also doing wonderfully in school. She is involved in Dance and Ballet and likes it for the most part, although she is not to fond of Jazz. Not quite sure why but at least she is still doing it. As for me I have many hobbies which include Scrapbooking, Crosstiching, Photography, Quilting and now i guess Blogging. HAHAHAHA. I am also a Assistent Camp Director for our churches Girls Camp which takes place in Hopkinsville, KY. every year in June. I love working with all the girls. They are such a joy to be around. Well most of the time anyway they are teenagers. lol. We live in Pleasant View, TN and love it here. As far as we are concerned this is where we will stay from now on.

Well, most of you know all of this already but i needed a place to start so what better place than the begging.
