All settled in

So i have not been on here in awhile I know. It has been a crazy house around here the last week or so. Mom and the kids finally got here on Thursday the 22nd. We had a great visit for the two days they were here. Mom and the boys left on the 24th and went back home. The girls stayed here to start school. They have been such a blessing to me. I love having them here. We had a couple of nights where Cheyenne wanted to go home but we worked though it and got to the root of her issues and now she is doing fine. She has decided that on the nights when Dale is working she is going to sleep with me and sleep in Elyssa's room when he is off work. Its fine with me. Shannon and Elyssa are getting long fabulously and Dominic is just enjoying having someone new to annoy. Ha ha he is such a boy. No really all the kids are getting along just fine. I am ready for everyone to start school though. I promise I will go crazy if I have to hear that they are bored one more time. Next week can't come fast enough. Of course they could wait longer. Shannon seems to really be excited about this new adventure but Cheyenne isn't quiet as excited. I contribute that to the fact that she is a teenager. Mom plans to be down here no later than Christmas. I really happy for that. It will be so nice to have her so close. A real chance to reconnect again. Plus she is close to all my other siblings and she can spend plenty of time with them also. Anyway I need to get off here. I have a ton of things I need to get done.

Mom and the kids are in New Mexico.

OK so I got the call today that they are still on their way here. Driving slow and taking their time. They are doing a little sight seeing and said that they would be here tonight but I don't think they will make it here until tomorrow afternoon. Which is fine with me either way. I just want them to get here safely. I can't wait for them to get here and spend some time with me and my Lil family. I finally got my house all clean and ready for them. I thought the cleaning would never stop but I am done. Now that all that is done it is just a matter of waiting. That's the part I hate the most. I am not a patient person sometimes which is a quality I really need to work on. Anyway I am going to get off here and try and keep myself busy so the time will pass faster.

Three more days till they arrive

Ok so I have had a couple of things going on lately. As you know already my mother and brothers and sisters are coming down to visit for a couple of weeks and They are leaving tomorrow so they can get here by Tuesday and then my mother and brothers will be going back to California to finish packing the house and move out here by December. My sisters will be staying here with me so they can start school on time. Anyway because of that I have been getting my house really clean. I mean deep cleaning big time. I guess its a good thing anyway cause everyone needs to purge every once in awhile right. Well anyway because of that I have not been blogging very much. Plus the fact that my computer was down for a week and I just got it back up a couple of days ago. Anyway I am really excited about my family coming out and the fact that I get to spend some really good quality time with my sisters. On top of that my kids and husband get to finally meet the rest of my siblings and my mother. So exciting. Well that's all I have to say for now. I need to finish up my cleaning. Seems like it never ends.

Sweetberry

Ok so the other day I was catching up on every ones blog when I came across Laura's and she had posted about this cool new frozen yogurt place here in Clarksville called Sweetberry's. As it so happened Elyssa was reading along with me and asked if we could go and check it out. I told her I would talk to daddy about it and we would see. So I did and we decided since the kids have been pretty good so far this week that we would take them. So we went and got our big ole cups picked out our flavor of frozen yogurt and then topped it. Me, Dale and Dj all got the NY cheesecake and Elyssa got Vanilla. Then I topped mine with one small piece of cheesecake and some strawberry's. While everyone else piled on the toppings. It was really good and not to bad on the price either. I think it was something like 49 cents per ounce. I think it is definitely some place we will visit again. It was a big hit with all of us.

Catching up

So I have been a little busy lately and have not been keeping up with my blog. Man I am getting bad at that. I need to do it everyday but I just cant bring myself to get on the computer everyday. Anyway I am going to get caught up today.

So I left off with Thursday the 8th- I got up today and did a little cleaning then waited for Elyssa to get home from her sleep over at Victoria's house. Then I got my stuff together and headed over to Diana's house for our weekly scrapbooking day. It was great. I did a really pretty layout but couldn't finish it because Elaine forgot a couple of things. We will finish it next week. I can't wait to add it to my book. After that I came home and cleaned some more then spent the rest of the day hanging out with the kids and Dale.

Friday the 9th- Nothing great happened today. I was going to go to Dwa but got up to late so instead I went to the pool at my house and did my workout there. It was a good workout and I didn't have to compete for space. It was nice. After that I really didn't do much. We had our family game night and had a blast.

Saturday the 10th- Today I got the cleaning bug big time. I deep cleaned my bedroom and my craft area as well as my kitchen. I got rid of all the dishes in my kitchen except for four of every dish. Man it looks so nice in my cabinets now. After the kitchen I went to work on my pantry and found out that I have more food storage than I thought. That's always a good thing I think. After organizing everything I started on my craft area. I had a plastic tote full of throw blankets that just sit there. Man who needs that many blankets anyway. I had the kids pick just one each and gave the rest to goodwill. Then I pulled all of my cross stitching things out of the drawers by the computer and put them in the plastic bin and stored them in my room since that is my winder hobby. No need to have it out taking up space all year around when I don't use it all the time right. Right. In the middle of cleaning out my scrapbooking stuff I remembered that I was suppose to go to Julia's house for her Tupperware party. So I loaded but the wooden doll house that Elyssa no longer plays with and headed over to Julia's. It was a lot of fun but I couldn't stay long. I was just itching to get back to my house and finish cleaning my stuff up. I finally finished and headed to bed at about 1:30am.

Sunday the 11th- This brings us to the end of the week. I didn't do a whole lot today. I finished up with the last minute things that needed to be gone through and the deep cleaning of the rest of the house by about 3:00 in the afternoon. Needless to say I didn't go to church that day. The cleaning just needed to be done and I couldn't have sat through church and really comprehend what was going on anyway so I just stayed home. After everything was all done I finally sat down and relaxed enough to finally have our family meeting. It went well I think. After all that was done I got a call from my Mother asking if it would be ok to send the girls out here early and let them start school while she finished packing up the house with the boys. I talked it over with Dale and we both agreed that that would be fine so my two little sisters will be living with me for about 5 months while my mother finishes up in California and moves out here. I am really excited about this. As well as the kids. It will be so nice to have family so close again.

Well that's all for now.....blog at you later.

Headaches

Today wasn't a great day. I woke up with a really bad headache and just couldn't get rid of it at all. I took Tylenol and took a nap and everything I tried failed. I was grouchy all day thanks to my headache and on top of it all Dale had the same headache from yesterday today. Poor guy. He did go to work cause we really can't afford for him to miss anymore work. I wish that wasn't an issue but for now it is. Although we may have a good lead on a job for him but the downfall is that he would be gone for six months at a time and only home for one month. But its great pay and would totally eliminate all our money stress. But its not final yet and so we go on with our everyday lives. Keep your fingers crossed and us in your prayers that he gets the job cause we could really use it at this point. Well I am bowing out early tonight thanks to this stupid headache that wont go away.

Lazy Daisy Day

Not to much happened today. We all slept in today and it felt great. We didn't do a whole lot of things today. Mostly it was a Lazy Daisy Day. There wasn't much fighting today either. Dale, the kids and myself all went down and swam for about an hour and a half and then came home and chilled for the rest of the day. Dale didn't go to work tonight cause he wasn't feeling well. I hope he isn't getting sick cause I really don't want to be sick. I got a call from my sisters in California today. They really want to come out and see me but with the summer being almost over I really doubt my mom is going to send them out. Either way I really miss them bunches. All of them not just my sisters. Well its getting late and I am a bit tired so I think I will end it here.

A perfect day so to speak

Today was a good day. I got up and went to my Dwa class and got a butt kicking. It felt great. I love when Christie kicks our butts. Most would disagree with me but I love it. That's why I keep going back. If it didn't work I wouldn't go. Anyway after class I came home and cleaned up the house then took Dale and the kids including Elyssa's friend Victoria down to our pool at the apt and let them swim for a couple of hours. Then Victoria went home and we went food shopping. When we got home and everything was put away we spent the rest of the day playing games and watching a couple of movies together. I have to say it was a perfect day. The kids didn't fight with each other at all and we all laughed and had a good time together. I wish all of our days were like this one. I do have to say though I am ready for them to go back to school. They really do get bored way to easy during the summer. I told them that I can't remember once as a child ever being bored. We always just used our imaginations and came up with a new game or something to bide our time until dinner. Of course we also lived in a neighborhood and time when you didn't have to really worry about people stealing your kid or doing something worse to them. This generation just has way to many things to worry about. So what happens we end up having to entertain them all the time and they loose their imagination. Oh well I guess its a cross all parents have to bare these days. I am pooped so I am going to keep it short tonight.

Saying goodbye Isiaha / Nothing important

We didn't do a whole lot today. I went to my DWA class and the kids played in the Kids zone while Dale worked out in the gym. After that we went and got a little bit of food shopping done and then went to say goodbye to James and Isiaha. They are moving back to Utah for a couple of years while they sort out a few things and then they plan to return to live here permanently. I will miss that little boy so much but I know his mommy will be happy to see him everyday. After all that we came home and Dale and the kids swam for a couple of hours while I straitened up the house. Then we had to call our resident computer guy to come and once again fix our Internet. After everything was done I made dinner and now we are all going to bed early.

that's all for now....blog at you later.

a day out/ new phones

Ok so today was a great day out. We hung out together as a family and just had a great time. We went to go and update our account at At&t to add two more lines. one for each of the kids. They have been begging for a phone of their own for awhile now so we decided it was time since they are both so independent now. We need to be able to get in touch with them when we need them. So anyway we went to the store to buy the kids' phones and found out that they were having a sale on Blackberrys since it was the end of the month. So we ended up buying two blackberrys with the Otter Box cases for twenty bucks each and gave the kids our old phones. It was a great deal. I have been wanting a new phone for awhile now so I was happy with the upgrade. As was Dale. Now its the fun time of really learning how to use it. Plus I found out that I can download apps on my phone so I am going to try and get my scriptures on my phone. Anyway I need to go for now.
