Man it really sucks not being able to use the computer anytime i need to. So for now I will only be checking my email and updating this blog at the library. I cant wait to get it back.

Ok thats all for now. Blog at you later. I hope.

Summer time almost done

Now that summer vacation is almost over I am getting ready for the kids to go back to school. I am so glad. While I love my children to death they are really starting to annoy me with the constant "Im borded" thing all the time. They stay pretty busy with activities that we have planned but its the days when we stay home and do nothing but spend time together that they complain. So to reiterate I am glad that summer vacation is almost over and they are headed back to school. They will be to tired after school to complain about being borded.

On to other things now. I have been having issues with my printer for the past week and am really tired of it considering the fact that its not very old. We just got it in February and Im already having problems. So the latest thing is that it is saying that there is a paper jam when there is no paper in the whole printer. So I called tech support and tried the things they suggested and nothing is helping so now they are sending me a replacement printer. I hope that this one works. We shall see.

A blessed day

I know that just yesterday I was complaining about issues that I was having with DJ and I don't know how many people really keep up with this blog but I mostly use it as a Journal because I hate to write. Anyway I do love my children despite the things that they say and do.

Anyway time to move on. I usually count my blessings on Sundays when I do my peaceful Sundays blog but today I am going to do it since I didn't do it yesterday.

I just have to say that I am really blessed to have a family as wonderful as mine. Yes we fight and argue and bicker but I love them none the less and especially on days like today. I don't think I could have asked for a better day. We all got along all day without fighting and on top of that we played card games all day. The kids didn't ask to go next door to play or want to stay in their rooms and watch TV by themselves. They stayed with Dale and I and played happily and had a wonderful time. I love days when they are like these. I know that they are far and few between but I Cherish each and every one of them. My children are getting so big so fast and they need me less and less and it is just nice to see that even if it's once in a blue moon my children really do love to spend time with me. I couldn't have asked for a better day than today. I really love my family, and am very blessed to know that because of my heavenly father above I have them. That he has trusted me enough to care for his children and raise them in the right way. To make sure that they know right from wrong and make it back to him in the end. I know that I am just human and make mistakes but it's nice to know that not only do my children love and forgive me for my mistakes but so does my heavenly father. I am truly truly blessed. I hope that everyone out there in the world understands just how blessed they are. With or without children everyone is blessed in their own way. I love you all. Those I know and those I don't, and so does our heavenly father.

Well I think I will end on that wonderful note. Remember you are loved. Blog at you later.

Issues already

OK I think I have finally hit my wall. The day went fine all day today until I went to go and get the kids from next door where they were playing. Well let me start from the beginning. When the kids went to bed last night I asked them both to clean their rooms when they got up in the morning. They both said fine and went to bed. Well when we all got up (it was to late to go to church because I forgot to set my clock and Dale didn't wake me up when he got home) they ate breakfast and then asked if they could go next door to play. I said yes despite the fact that they still hadn't cleaned their rooms. Anyway I let them play until about 7 and then went and got them. Once they got back in the house I asked them if they could please go and clean their rooms and not to turn on their TVs because they wont clean if it's on and Elyssa did it with no problem but DJ just plain out gave attitude about it and refused to clean. When I went to ask him again nicely he said no and slammed his door. I went to ask him to please stop slamming the doors because he was ruining the door frame and that if he didn't he would loose his door. Well as I walked away he said so what and slammed his door again so I went and took it off. He started to scream at me and tried to give me an ultimatum about if I gave his door back he would clean his room. I told him that I would give it back if he would just clean and he told me that he hated me and didn't want to live with me anymore because I sucked as a parent and was mean. So I told him calmly that if he was so unhappy here then he could call his grandpa and ask him if he could go and live with him. I even dialed the number for him. Anyway he didn't talk and so my dad called back and I told him what was going on and he talked to DJ and told him that he can't be disrespecting me like that and that if he kept it up he could just forget about going and spending the summers with him. He also told him that I was the parent and had every right to take his door away for slamming it and that he should apologize to me and just do the right thing which was to do as he was told. He also told him that even if he could go and live with him (even though he can't because my dad isn't home half the year because he works offshore) he would still have the same rules at his house that he has here because they are the same rule he gave me when I was younger. So he said fine and said goodbye to my dad and hung up. Of course he didn't do anything at first and when I retold him that if he would please clean his room and I would give him his door back he said now and slammed his foot into the wall and put a big hole in the wall. I didn't say anything about it and just calmly said to him again to please clean his room. He finally gave in and cleaned his room. I did give him back his door and told him that I love him and that there was nothing he could do to ever change that. I think he understands now that when I tell him to please do something and that I'm only doing it because it's in his best interest he will listen to me. Who knows. I guess time will tell. I know this is not the last fight we will have but hopefully it will be the last blow out we have.

Anyway through all that I am tired so I'm headed to bed. Blog at you later

Picking up DJ

OK today we went and picked up DJ from my dad in AL. We left at 9:45 to head out and Dale drove. He was suppose to just drive until we get out of Nashville because I hate driving through there but once we where out he decided to just keep driving. I told him I would take over but he insisted on driving down. Anyway we were suppose to meet my dad at exit 246 at about 1:30 but when I called him to see where they were he told me that they had just left and we had already been on the road for about an hour. Anyway we got there on time but had to wait for about and hour and a half before they got there. Well killed time by eating lunch and walking around Wal-Mart. When they finally got there Dale was napping so I had to wake him up so he could say hi to my dad and greet DJ. I can't believe how big he has gotten in few days he was gone. I think he grew at least a half a foot. He looks great though. It was nice to see my dad to. I miss getting to see him more often. But that's what happens when you live in different states. Anyway I drove home and we got here at about 7:30. Pretty good time getting back I think. It only took us about 3 and a half hours. Dale slept the whole time and DJ told us about his time down there. It sounds like he had a blast. But I am glad he is home now.

Well I'm headed to bed to recover from a long day driving. Blog at you later.

Getting ready for DJ

So today we spent most of the day just hanging out and getting things ready for DJ to return tomorrow. We are leaving at about 9:45 to go and meet my dad in Birmingham, AL. and exchange him. It almost sounds like he is property we are getting back. LOL. I am really glad he is finally coming home though. I got to talk to him last night for the first time since he has left and he told me that he wanted to do this every year. I told him that was fine with me. I can't believe he is really old enough to just go and spend a week or two in another state without his parents. Man they really do grow up fast. He is becoming such a young man. I think within the next year he is going to as tall if not taller than me and he is only about to be 11. It seems like just yesterday he was a baby in my arms needing me for everything and now he only needs the basics and does everything on his own. Wow where did the years go. Well at least I still have my little girl for now. I know it wont be long before she to will want her Independence from us to. Anyway I better get off here and get some sleep for tomorrow since I am the one who has to do most of the driving.

That's all for today. Blog at you later.

Family time

Today was a simple day of family time. We went out and paid some bills and then went to the park to play. It was a really nice day. Elyssa and I got to swing and play together while dale watched us. He played a little to but was mostly busy catching up with his dad on the phone. I tell you the man is silly. He is almost sixty and decided to go out a buy a motorcycle to celebrate that fact. I guess you only live once but that was something I never saw coming. I hope he really enjoys it though. Anyway after the park we went to Statons in Ashland City to eat. Dale and I go there at least once a month but this was the first time we took any of the kids. I think Elyssa really liked it. Anyway after that we came home and got ready for Hapkido class. The instructor wasn't able to come today so he asked Dale if he could teach the class. Dale did really well. They only had class for a little over an hour but it was still really cool to see him do that. He really looked good in charge. Maybe one day he will have his own class to teach. One can dream anyway. After class we came home and ate dinner and now are headed to bed. To many days of staying up late so we are headed to bed early.

Well that's all for today. Blog at you later.

Getting rid of junk

Today was a nice day we stayed home and cleaned all day. I spent most of the day going though all my clothes and getting rid of everything that I can't fit in anymore and anything I don't ware. Let me tell you I have nine bags of clothes sitting in my kitchen now and very little to ware. Oh well I guess that just means its time to go shopping again. Not that I get to do that very often. I think the last time was around my birthday last year. Most of the time the shopping I get to do is for Dale and the kids. I then went though all my other stuff and got rid of a ton of things that I have no idea why I was keeping. Sometimes it really blows my mind the things that I keep, thinking that I will either use or need later that just end up going in the trash at a later time. I think my new goal now is to just get rid of things in the first place that way my house doesn't become cluttered all the time. Now if I can just get Dale and the Kids to do the same thing we would be in great shape.

Anyway on to other things. We are going to pick up DJ on Saturday and let me tell you I am so ready for him to be home. I have missed him so much. Nine days is a long time to be away from your kids or have your kids be away from you. But I am sure he is having a wonderful time with my parents.

Well I guess that's all for today. Blog at you later.

Not to much going on

Ok so nothing really interesting happened yesterday. I took the dog back to Catrina and then Dale and Elyssa had Hapkido. Dale moved up a belt and Elyssa will be testing for her next belt next week. Then we came home and Elyssa and I watched a couple of movies and went to bed. So now that we are all caught up here is today.

We woke up at about 9:30 ( I know a little late but that's what happens when you stay up watching movies with you daughter) then had breakfast and cleaned the house. Then I sent Elyssa in to clean up her room. Let me tell you I have never seen anyone take so long to pick up and put away a few clothes, make a bed and put away a couple of dolls. It took her almost all day to do it. I cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, my bedroom and vacuumed the whole house in the amount of time it took her to make her bed and put away a few clothes. She finally finished at about 5:45 and now she is playing with the neighbor. Dale worked a double today so when he finally got home he said his hello's ate a little something and then headed to bed. I don't think he will wake up until its time to get ready for work. I hate that he has to work so much and cant just enjoy his time with the family but the bills do need to be paid. Hopefully he will be able to find a job where he wont have to work as much to make the money he does now. Oh well such is life I guess. Anyway that has been our day today. Like I said before nothing real interesting going on. I mostly do this so that I have a record of my day for myself. Oh ya I still have not talked to DJ. I know he is safe and having a good time but I miss him so much. I hope he calls soon.

Well that's all for today. Blog at you later.

Missing DJ

Today has been a great day. I got up this morning and got Elyssa and Aubrey up so that they could eat breakfast and get ready for church. Then I got a call from Dale saying that he was still waiting to be relived from work and that he would try to be home in time for us to go to church. Well he got home at about 8:45 and was way to tired to go to church today so the girls and I just went. We were a little late but that was ok. Church was great, lots of good talks and lessons by everyone then Elyssa and I came home. We talked with Dale a little then we all took a small nap. After that we made dinner and spent some time together. Dale got ready for work and left, then Elyssa and I watched a little tv and she fell asleep. Now I am blogging my day and headed to bed.

I miss DJ and cant wait for him to be home. Yes he drives me crazy sometimes but its a little to quiet around here without him. Saturday can't come fast enough. I know he is having a good time and I hope he is taking a ton of pictures since I cant be there to take them. But at least he is making some great memories with his grandparents and cousins. I hope they keep doing this every year. I know DJ really likes it.

Well that's all for tonight. Blog at you later.

Happy 4th of July

I want to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. I hope ya'll had a better 4th than we did. We got to go over to my good friend Michelle's house and have a bar-b-que and go swimming for most of the day. Then it stormed at about 6:30 and that put all plans on hold for shooting off the fire works. The kids were a little bumbed but I think they got over it. We are hoping that it will be clear tomorrow so that we can do them then. If not well then I guess we wont have to buy any for next year. Anyway we are home now and Elyssa and Aubrey are playing together. Oh ya Aubrey is spending the night tonight. Its nice to have two kids in the house again. I really miss DJ. I can't wait for him to come home. But I know that he is having a good time and making great memories. That's more important than me missing him. I know some of my best memories from my childhood are the ones I have with my grandparents.

Well I hope ya'll have a better 4th of July. Blog at you later.

Headed home

So we left last night at about 10:30 pm and headed home but we didn't make it all the way home. We drove until about 2:00 and then pulled over at a rest stop and slept until about 6:00. Then we headed out again. Somewhere along the way Dale picked up some flyer's for things to do on our way home. One of the things we saw was this flyer for this place called Ava Maria Grotto. It looked interesting and it didn't cost a lot to go so we went. When we got there I realized that it was run by the Catholics. Not that I have anything against them. So we went in and it tuned out to be this really cool place where this Catholic priest had hand made all these really cool miniature buildings from all over the world. He had things like famous churches from around the world but he also had made really famous things from like Europe and China and Japan plus he made things from the bible and a few fairytale places, like Hansel and Gretel. It was really cool to see. Everything was in complete detail just like if you were really there. It must have taken him forever to made them. After that we headed on to go home. We stopped to eat at this place called Stan's in Columbia then headed home. We got back here at about 2:30 and Elyssa cleaned her room then we all fell asleep. I woke up at 8:30 and made dinner and now I'm headed back to bed. I am running on only about 5 hours of sleep for three days. Anyway I am done for now.

Blog at you later.

Leaving to go to Mississippi

So like I said yesterday we left the house at about 4:30 and got on the road at about 4:45 in the morning. It was quiet in the car because the kids went right back to sleep when we got going. Dale and I stayed awake and got to do a little bit of talking. It was a nice drive. The kids slept most of the time down there and Dale drove so I got to take pictures and enjoy the ride. It was a long drive and beautiful until we got to Montgomery, Alabama. Then it was just flat boring land. Not like being here in Tennessee. Anyway we got there at about noon and meet up with Melissa and Andrew. Then we headed over to her mom's new house to see her and see how she is doing then Melissa took us over to her uncle's new beach front property and the kids got to play in the water while I caught up with Melissa. We saw a ton of hermit crabs, and I do mean a ton. There was one rock that had a whole colony on it and there must have been at least a thousand of them. It was the most I have ever seen. The kids loved it but it reminded me why I didn't want to move back down there. Its OK to visit but I really have never been a beach person unless it is clear water. Plus Mississippi water stinks like dead fish and other stuff. But the kids seemed to enjoy it a little. Dale ran up and down the beach but also said that he is glad we live up here and not down there. After that we went and saw my parents and my little brother Cameron. Well he is younger than me but he is way taller than me. He is going to be 19 this year and I cant believe how much he has grown. After being there for a couple of hours we headed over to my brother Gabe's house to visit with him and his family. My nephews are getting so big (pictures to come soon) and my sister in law is just as beautiful as ever. She got a couple of new tattoo's since I last saw her. They are nice. My brother got a really big one that starts at his bellybutton and continues around to the middle of his back. He is a paramedic and so that is what he got. The tattoo is the paramedics symbol with a tribal on both sides that spell out love. Its cool. Not that I would ever get a tattoo. I'm to scared of needles. Plus those things are permanent. Anyway after visiting for awhile we left to head home at about 10:30 pm.

Well that's all for now. Blog at you tomorrow.

Getting ready for Mississippi

So today I spent the whole day doing the laundry so that we could have things to wear and so that DJ has clothes to wear while he is at my parents house for the week. He is so looking forward to spending time with my family down there. He really is a Grandparents baby. He loves spending time with them whenever he can. It has been a few years since he was able to do that so now he is really excited about going.

Anyway we are leaving tomorrow at about 4:30 in the morning to get down there because it is an 8 hour drive. So I know I wont sleep at all. To excited to see my family.

Well that's all for now. Blog at you later.
