This is the Elk that we got to see on the trail. They are all Female and Babies. We did not get to see any Males today. Snif Snif. DJ really wanted to see how big they really got.
At our first stop there was a park ranger there and he had this set of antlers that had been shed by a 6 year old Male Elk and so we got to pose with them. This is Dale showing what he would look like as an Elk. Silly man. The Antlers weighed about fifteen pounds together. Man can you imagine carrying that around on your head all summer long. Not me.
Here I am with them. They were way to heavy for me to put on my head so I just held them. They were really smooth too. That was surprising to me.
Here is Dj with one of them. He had a hard time holding them both at the same time. See the expression on his face. He he he. Silly boy.
Here is Elyssa. She almost fell over when I let go of hers so she had to use her knee to hold it up while I took the picture.
Here are the kids and I at the first stop. We didn't see any animals but that wasnt for lack of trying trust me.

Here are my little posers standing on a big rock in the park. They really were cheesing it up this time.
Here I am with the kids in front of a bunch of Bison. They put a fence so that people could take a picture in front of them without worrying about getting hurt. The sun was facing us so the kids had a hard time opening their eyes to take the picture. Look at Elyssa's face it is clasic.
Again but this time with Dale and the kids. Now they are both being silly. It really wasn't that bad out there. I think they just wanted to goof off.
Here are a few of the Bison that we got to see. The one in the middle decided that after I took the picture he was going to poop. Dj thought that was really gross. Im just glad I didn't catch it on camera. That would have been really gross.
