A Nice Drive in the Country

Today was a beautiful day so I thought it would be a great idea for us to go pick some strawberry's. Well that didn't quite work out the way I planned. I wanted to go this morning before lunch so that it wouldn't be to hot out but when Dale got home from work he wanted to take a couple hours nap first. I was fine with that considering that he worked a 16 hour shift yesterday and then another 8 hours last night. Well he didn't wake up until after 5:30. Still I thought it would be plenty enough time considering that they don't close until 7. Well little did I know that finding the place is harder than you would think. We got lost like four times trying to find the place. We did finally get there only to have to turn around and leave because they were closing in 15 min. Oh well at least we know where it is now so the next time we go to pick strawberry's we wont get lost. Ha ha.

Well after that lovely detour we decided that we really didn't want to go home yet so we drove up highway 76 to see where it lead to since I have only been as far as Elaine's house. Really it is pretty country, anyway as we drove we saw sign that said Port Royal State Park. We had never heard of it so we went only to find out that I had been there with the scouts last year. Anyway we kept driving and ended up in Adams. The kids wanted to stop at the Bell Witch Caves but I said no. That place gives me the heeby geebys. So we kept on driving only to find ourselves right back at exit 19. Although we really didn't accomplice anything today, We still got to see some beautiful country that we had never seen before. It was nice just being able to be out and about with my family. Got to love those kinds of days.

So now I'm done for the day and getting ready for church tomorrow. See you all later.
